Tuesday we decided to make it a FULL day! We took the kids to Hurricane Harbor, neither of them had ever been. It was a fun time.. hard with two non-swimming toddlers but they LOVED it! We, of course, spent most of our time in the kiddie areas and little things but it was worth it to see them smile. They are swimming babies! After that, we went back and got ready and decided to go to downtown Fort Worth. I LOVE downtown Fort Worth and it's where I spent most of my high school days (haha) so it's really fun to go back and show Jeff and the girls. Braelyn, a native Abilenian where we have one, yes one, tall building, called the skyscrapers "castles" and talked about the castles for days. She loved it! It's such a great atmosphere and lots of fun things too! The best part: Razoo's! Jeff and I love to eat there and we ate two nights in a row last week! Here is a collage of us around downtown. The girls were playing peek-a-boo at the table waiting for our food. After dinner, we went to walk around the Stockyards, another blast from the past for me, and they had fun there too. They got to see a longhorn (couldn't talk Braelyn into sitting on it for a picture though). Good memories were made and I love taking the girls somewhere new where they can learn and see new things.. it's worth the struggle of dragging around two toddlers! :)
On Wednesday, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! I had always heard such great things about the Dallas World Aquarium but I never had gone. Now that we were all there with nothing to do.. that was my mission. Jeff and I ventured over to downtown Dallas and found it. It was so cool! It's like a giant indoor rain forest. You walk up in the trees and there are all kinds of animals around you and birds. The kids saw amazing fish and neither one of the cried once.. they were mesmerized! :) The best part is in the aquariums.. you walk through an underwater tunnel where sharks are swimming all around you and then once you keep going up you get to look down on the tunnel you just walked through. It was awesome! The kids were in heaven and really learned so much.. Braelyn was asking tons of questions. It was well worth the high admission prices to get in.. we will definitely be going back one day soon! Don't forget to click on the collages to see it all.. especially the shark tunnel! :) I took so many pictures but narrowed it down to a collage because blogger takes its sweet time uploading!
